Happy New Year

Hi wishing you all a Happy 2009 and hope life is treating you all well i have been slack with this blog will have to upload some photos and happenings.

My Great Day Out till I got home

Hi All i went to sydney today on the train to have my allergy needle at the specliast and than went to woolloomooloo to meet a girlfriend for lunch who happens to work in the street i used to work in at com car many years ago. We went to the fiztroy hotel for lunch nothing has changed there, than i walked up to westfield towers to see if my cousin was there but he was in town so they let me talk to him on the phone.

I than went to martin place to get a train back and had to wait 2 mins and got to central to come home and had to wait 5 mins, so i got home and walked to my car and drove home to find no phone and no internet that is just the start. I walked out to put the bins out and looked at my car and realised that there was no number plate on the back so looked at the front and that was gone also i could not believe that i even drove home and did not realise.

I rang the police and reported it so now have to ring the rta in the morning and sort out what i have to do.

I hope you all had a better day than me in the end but i did enjoy lunch with debbie and talking to my cousin who i had not seen since a few years ago as he is very busy with work and works nearly 6 days a week or more.

Nathan Turned 11 in June

Nathan also turned 11 in june so we went KFC for dinner with mum and dad and he got some presents and had a great time.

We also went to the horse races in the holidays which was great we put a couple of bets on and made 55cents but it was fun.

What's been happening

I am so slack have not had time to update this, well this is what's been happening
Nathan has done a NSW UNI Science and Math's Exam and did quite well with them. Kevan has been scoring goals at football and saving heaps of them, Nathan is doing well at AFL and had a few marks and behinds. We went to see the swans play the pies and we lost but it was a great night and we all had fun, Nathan got a famliy pass from his club so we took Samuel his friend from school and a group of us went down by train which was great.
In the holidays we went to the drive-in to see 3 movies it was a great night, mum and dad took the boys to slot car racing also they had fun and it keeps kevan still for an hour which is hard for him.
I went to Norah Head Lighthouse for a weekend away last weekend it was great and we even climbed up the light house and i got 10 pages done of scrapbooking and made a card so i was happy with that. It was so nice to get away and no kids or house to worry about i did not even go to sport.

Last monday i went to the wetlands at shortland for a year 5 excursion and it was great the kids learnt so much and i did also it was an old tip site over 40 years ago but you would not know it now.

Kevan's update

Kevan has lost his 2 top teeth the last 2 weeks and still has a cute smile. He has been saving heaps of goals for his team in football and loves playing goalie and packs his soccer bag each friday for saturdays game which i brought him for his birthday.

He has just read 25 books for the premiers reading program and is reading better each week, he just got his silver award from school and Nathan is just 4 yellow cards off from getting his second bronze to get his silver.

We are all going ok and Nathan will be 11 soon its gone so quick and they are doing so well, Nathan got picked for the UNI NSW science testing so he said he did ok and will have to wait for the results. Will keep you posted on this.

Chess Team

Nathan was picked for the school chess team he came home on friday the 3oth May with a award from school for encouragement for wanting to be a part of the chess team again this year. He seem to be winning one game each week they play 2 but he will get there and is versing older players also.

Afl

Nathan played afl on the weekend 24th May 2007 and he got 2 goals and 1 behind which was great i am so proud that he is enjoying this sport.

School and Sport update

Today they had the sports awards after chapel service this morning at school well Kevan got 3rd in the cross country for year 2 boys which is a great achievement for the first time. Nathan played Chess won 1 game and lost the other but i was so pleased as he loves the chess comp at school.

I went to the post office this morning to pick up a parcel and was surprised when he said i had 2 i won a competition in a scrapbooking magazine it was $100 worth of tapes and pens and a carry bag i was so surprised as i have never won a magazine competition before.

School and Sport

Nathan tried out for the school rubgy but did not make it but he is in the chess team and won on friday, Kevan is going ok but loves the playground more than the classroom.

On Saturday Nathan played AFL and they beat the other team 123 to nil and Kevan played soccer and won 6 nil but it could have beeen more as they gave up counting the goals.

Mothers Day

We had a great day was woken at 4.45am but was expecting this and we went down to my mum and dads place and had kfc for lunch and than went down to a park at warnervale and the boys played for a while and we waited for a train to come in and for the road crossing to come down. We also took Norbie our dog and my parents took him for a walk.

Athletics Carnival

We had our school athletics carnival on wed the 30th april, and what a great day and Nathan went in most events which he never does i was so proud of him and he tried so hard and even went in the relay and long jump and a few races. Kevan tried everything including the high jump and shot put and even went in the junior relay he enjoyed him self so much.

Kevan's 8th Birthday 31 March 2008

Kevan's 8th birthday we went to red rooster at lakehaven with mum and dad (Nanna and Pa) for tea and a nice time with ice cream cake for the birthday cake. Kevan got some lovely presents for his birthday.
